French Open 2018: Live results from semifinals at Roland Garros
The 2018 French Open at Roland Garros is nearing a close, with the women's singles final set for Saturday, June 9, and the men's singles final on Sunday, June 10.
In the women's draw, No. 1 seed Simona Halep defeated No. 3 Garbiñe Muguruza in the semifinals Thursday to advance to her second straight final at Roland Garros. Last year, Halep lost to Jelena Ostapenko in the final. This year, Halep will face American Sloane Stephens, who won the 2017 U.S. Open but is making her first French Open finals appearance.
In the men's draw, the French Open semifinals feature matches between No. 7 Dominic Thiem and Marco Cecchinato, and No. 1 Rafael Nadal vs. No. 5 Juan Martin Del Potro. Nadal, the defending champ, is looking for his 11th title at Roland Garros.
