LPT: if you are a woman who someday plans to have a child, sign up for short and long term disability, if your company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave. FMLA only guarantees your job is secure while you are on leave. It is a minimal amount from your paycheck however you are paid
***the amount that gets deducted from your paycheck is minimal whether you get paid weekly, biweekly etc. Well worth it and rarely talked about in my opinion.
